    cut the beat out of the slower song and use it’s vocals over the faster song’s beat. this will work if the slower song has strong vocals after you’ve cut the low end out.

    the finger and the …
    the finger and the pitch control are two separate functions.

    Finger: acts like a brake if one track goes faster than the other.

    Pitch Control: once the tracks are synced (running at the speed) you adjust the pitch control to maintain the new speed.

    If the finger is the brake consider the pitch control as the accelerator.

    @z121231211 Your …
    @z121231211 Your slowing down with your finger because it’s a more natural way of doing things. your right you could just use the pitch control but it feels better to use your finger then use the pitch control to the point where you don’t need to slow down with your finger. DJ ing is all about feeling it out.

    It seems redundant to slow down the record with your finger and slow down using the pitch controls. Why not only use the pitch controls?

    whats up DJ’s I gotta question. When matching up the beats for hip hop what is the best technique for getting the pitch back to normal before the voice comes in because when you higher or lower the pitch the lyrics sound way off so what do you do to get the pitch back to normal so that the voice isn’t higher or lower pitch wise? (does that make sense?)

    @TheTK3 if your Player cannot pitcth that range (which would sound really annoying), you can try a hardcut, meaning that you move the crossfader really quickly to the other deck (its hard to say, just try it)

    Hey guys, I’m …
    Hey guys, I’m trying to learn more about DJing and Beatmatching, but I have a questions question. Obviously, when you’re going to beatmatch, the two songs need to have a decently close BPM. What if you’re going to play a song that is, say, 50-60 beats faster or slower? What would you do? Thanks
